Subject: Allan Robinson Special Issue - Submission deadline extended

Dear Author,

A number of you have indicated that you need more time to complete your manuscripts for the special issue of Dynamics of Atmospheres and Oceans honoring Allan Robinson.

Therefore, we have decided to extend the submission deadline to 15 October, 2010.

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically via the journal online submission system http://ees.elsevier.com/dynat/default.asp. When submitting your paper, please be sure to select "Special Issue: In Honor of A.R. Robinson" as the article type. We look forward to receiving your submissions.

In the meantime, it would also be very helpful if you could send us now the working title of your paper and the author list. This will greatly facilitate the review process as manuscripts begin to arrive.

Also, very many thanks to those of you who have submitted your manuscripts already. Processing of these manuscripts has begun, and rest assured you will not be disadvantaged by the extended submission deadline.

UVT

UVT is a software that create plots horizontal maps, vertical profiles and time series both for scalar and vector variables. UVT visualizes model data from OGCM and regional models. The graphic interface was revised to be user-friendlier and the quality of vector plotting improved. A user guide, that describes the main characteristics of UVT is available. This will allow having new information about the forecast and reaching a greater number of marine users. This tool will allow then the promotion of the MOON forecasting products toward non-scientific users will be achieved through pamphlet that will be produced according to users information needs.
